Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Walgreens and Express Script use to be in a partnership benefiting, you, the customers.  The Express Scripts Program, a prescription insurance plan,  has decided not to renew Walgreens as a in network pharmacy provider.  This leaves many customers who fill prescriptions having to find a new pharmacy.  Customers are in some cases are having to drive further to refill their prescriptions which can be less convenient in their already busy lives.  A lot of patients have relationships with their Walgreens pharmacist and have grown to trust their pharmacy who they deal with.  The Express Scripts Program is making customers make a choice they don't want to have to make. The patients are now having to find a new pharmacy.   The customers of Walgreens are not benefiting by lower costs with this new change either.  Express Scripts wants to increase mail orders of prescriptions.  People like having their neighborhood pharmacy to go to at any time and the option to get medicine right away if needed.

Walgreens is trying to help their current customers and make their transition as stress free as possible.  Walgreens has developed relationships with many of their customers and is trying to help take care of them if they are forced to leave.  Now we introduce the  Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.  Walgreens is offering an annual membership prescription savings club so that customers can stay with Walgreens and save money on their prescriptions.  In the month of January, they are offering a yearly family membership for $10 and after that it will increase to $35 a month.  This membership will give them a savings on 8,000 medications and many other discounts.

Stay up to date on all the happenings on Walgreens and what deals they have to offer by following Walgreens on Twitter and Walgreens on Facebook.
